Stranger Things: electrifying theory presents the new villain of season 5

Another detail that was heavily discussed in many theories was the fact that Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) rolled an 11 on the dice, failing to take away the villain's hit points. Right after, Erica (Priah Ferguson) rolled a 20 and ended the life of that terrible being in the Dungeons & Dragons campaign.

First, we need to understand that Dustin rolling an 11 and failing to destroy the game's villain would represent Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), who also can't destroy Henry alone.

As we well know, every villain that Hawkins' friend group has to face has their names taken from the Dungeons & Dragons game. So, the first episode showed us in Eddie's campaign, Vecna, who was the master villain of the campaign. 

And it's exactly here that a detail is missing. As Vecna was presented in the campaign, another game monster was also presented that hasn't shown its face so far, which would be Kas, a vampire who swore loyalty to Vecna, but later came to betray his "master".

We've already shown here a theory where Eddie would come back from the dead as Kas. But beyond seeming a bit illusory, the theory we're presenting today makes much more sense, and soon you'll understand why.

The behavior of Will and Henry

I'll need to use some images to contextualize the theory and make it a bit easier to understand. 

First we have this image, where we can make a good comparison of the behavior of Will Byers and Henry Creel. 

Both are shown drawing this monster, even before seeing it personally. As we came to know during the fourth season, Henry Creel was born with his powers, just had no idea how to use them. Because of that, he ended up causing the death of his mother and sister, and soon after fell into the hands of Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine), who started a series of experiments with the boy. His connection to the Upside Down already existed long before Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) sent him there, years later.

This is only the first point of the question I want to present to you, because stopping to analyze the similarities between the two, it would make a lot of sense if Will (Noah Schnapp) also had powers, just like Henry. 

Social Skills 

This is the briefest topic of the theory, just to contextualize the similarities that are confirmed in every moment. Starting with the tremendous lack of social skills of both characters in Stranger Things.

In this photo, we can clearly see that both Will and Henry are socially isolated, showing themselves withdrawn in relation to other people. But this is just one point to present the comparison of the two characters.

Sensitive Child

In the next photo, we see two moments from Stranger Things, one from the first season, and the other from the fourth. Moments where Will's mother, Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder), speaks to sheriff Jim Hopper (David Harbour) almost exactly the same words used by Victor Creel to define his son.

Just as Victor defines Henry as a sensitive child, Joyce also sees her son in the same way. And this is one of the biggest key points for the connection between the two. But don't worry, because the worst is yet to come. 

Will or Kas?

Next, we'll see an image published by the @StrangerNews11 Twitter account, which in its biography states "News and updates from Stranger Things filming...👽. Photos, videos and cast information...📸❤️". This account belongs to a Stranger Things fan community, so the images are created by fans themselves and shared on their page. However, this particular photo says much more than it seems.

Here we have the key point that ties the theory together. Let's analyze the photo piece by piece so we can explain the conclusion of this theory more clearly.

First, Will's red eyes and his clothes clearly indicate that he is a vampire (in the photo). The most important detail is the blood coming from his nose. 

Combining the facts analyzed in this photo, we know that all those who have powers equal to or similar to Henry Creel's, when they use their powers, lose some drops of blood from their nose. This happens frequently with Eleven and the other "experiments" from Dr. Martin Brenner. 

The blood in his nose clearly shows that the theory of Will being born with powers makes a lot of sense. But what will really blow your mind is the fact that, most likely, Will will join forces with Vecna. 

We know that Will has a strange connection to the Upside Down since the first portal was opened in Hawkins. This young man's connection to the upside down is most likely due to the fact that he was born with powers.

So, if Will really was born with powers similar to Henry Creel's (who became Vecna), it wouldn't be surprising if he ended up joining forces with the villain. We've already raised here the hypothesis that Eddie Munson would return to life as Kas, the Betrayer. However, in this new theory (much more grounded in facts), Will would be Kas in Stranger Things.

Because having this connection to the upside down and discovering his powers, Will could in a way offer himself as a "bait" to Vecna, claiming to want to be part of the conquest and promising loyalty. When he was by the villain's side, he would do exactly what Kas did in Dungeons & Dragons, which was to betray the great Vecna in the fifth season of Stranger Things.

Moreover, the Duffer brothers had already informed that in the fifth season of Stranger Things, Will would have a much larger role in the series, with many moments focused on him. 

The protagonists of the series are obsessed with Dungeons & Dragons and know very well the story of each character. It wouldn't be strange if they used all their intelligence and knowledge to defeat Vecna once and for all and close the portal that was opened in Hawkins.

An interesting point to highlight is that if Will really does pull off being Kas, he'll be so close to Vecna that he might find a way to end the upside down once and for all.
