Created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen, Lobo was a normal anti-hero, but won over the public and was a huge success. His comics with extreme and senseless violence broke sales records in the 1980s.
Beyond super strength, Lobo is practically immune to pain, able to be mutilated and nearly indestructible. However, in one of his stories he ended up dying, reaching hell and heaven, only to be expelled because he caused a true massacre there.

Dr. Manhattan
Known as one of the protagonists of Watchmen, Dr. Manhattan is one of the most powerful characters in DC Comics. Although part of his own universe, the character came to DC's main universe after the Doomsday Clock saga. Dr. Manhattan was created in 1986 by writer Alan Moore and artist Dave Gibbons. The character's powers range from temporal manipulation, matter control, and teleportation ability—he's practically omniscient in the DC universe. Doomsday
Certainly one of the most powerful villains from the publisher, having defeated Superman in one of the most epic battles in comics. The character is based on a prehistoric Kryptonian creature, the result of an experiment intended to create the most perfect and adaptable being in the universe. Extreme strength and super resistance are his main characteristics. Plus, after being killed he can regenerate, coming back even more powerful. Superman
Kal-El is certainly the most popular hero in DC Comics alongside Batman. Created in 1938 by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the Kryptonian gained his powers when bathed by the rays of our Solar System's star. Superman has incredible strength, is capable of flying and runs at incredible speeds, plus great resistance and x-ray and heat vision abilities. Shazam!
Launched as Captain Marvel, Shazam is one of DC Comics' greatest heroes of all time. The character was launched in 1940 by writer Bill Parker and artist C. C. Beck, first appearing in the comic Whiz Comics #2. The character's powers are derived from great mythological figures: Solomon (wisdom), Hercules (vast physical strength), Atlas (stamina, invulnerability), Zeus (magical powers), Achilles (courage), and Mercury (speed, flight ability)—which are also the origin of his name. Jim Corrigan was a police officer who ended up dying during an operation, but he ended up receiving great powers from the entity The Voice. Spectre was created by Jerry Siegel and Bernard Baily in 1940, making his first appearance in More Fun Comics #52. Lucifer
The first of the fallen is one of the great characters in DC Comics Universe, having ruled hell for 12 billion years. The Presence is by far the most powerful character in DC Comics, comparable to Marvel's The One Above All. It is the supreme entity, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, with infinite power and wisdom. It is the creator of the entire known universe of the publisher. It is shown in various forms in DC comics, with The Hand being the most well-known. The Presence first appeared in More Fun Comics #52, released in February 1940.
