Devil May Cry's story is full of plot twists and the order of the games ends up getting mixed up

  With the announcement of the new Devil May Cry saga game, many fans are left wondering: Where does this chapter fit in with the other games? We at Trecobox are here to clear up that confusion. The creator of DMC is Hideki Kamiya. After graduating in game design, he tried his career at SEGA, but got a huge rejection, received a chance at Namco, however his creativity was limited at the company. Because of his desire to grow, Kamiya arrived at Capcom in 1994. His first work was Resident Evil, later becoming the director of Resident Evil 2. Wanting to implement an innovative idea, during the development of RE 4, he developed a character who fought with a sword and vibrated every time he defeated an enemy. Capcom rejected this "continuation" of Resident Evil, but took the idea and thus Devil May Cry was born.   Devil May Cry | Understand the Franchise's Chronological Order   In chronological order, the first game is the much-loved DMC 3. Released in February 2006, Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening tells the events of when Dante opens his demon-hunting agency. A man called Arkham, using various demons with business cards, calls Dante to meet his half-brother, Vergil. After defeating the demons, a tower rises in the middle of the city and Dante senses his brother's presence there. He then accepts the challenge and goes there to confront him. During the story, we meet one of the female characters in the DMC saga, Mary, who was later nicknamed Lady by Dante himself. With several wonderful fights and one of the best plots, DMC 3 is said to be the best of all the franchise's games released so far.   Devil May Cry | Understand the Franchise's Chronological Order   The second game is the one that brought the fame. Simply called Devil May Cry, released in 2001, the game begins with Dante being attacked by a woman who later introduces herself as Trish. Dante dodges her attacks. Trish then says she attacked him solely to test his moves. She also says that Mundus, the demon Dante blames for the death of his mother and brother, is about to emerge in the human world. Dante then accepts the job proposal and heads to a castle to complete his mission. On top of that, he takes the opportunity to take out all the hatred he feels for Mundus destroying his family.
