There are many video game characters that possess many types of cool and interesting superpowers. The powers to rewind time, shapeshift, and lift heavy objects are present in various games, such as Life Is Strange and Kirby's Epic Yarn.
Undoubtedly, the coolest (and most flexible) type of superpower to have in a video game is psychic abilities. Whether it's seeing the future, telekinesis, telepathy, or psychic abilities—they're always cool and fun to play with. Many video games have redefined what it means to have a character with psychic abilities, mixing unique gifts and elements of knowledge to expand these psychic characters.

Check out below the best characters with psychic abilities in games
Alex Chen (Life is Strange: True Colors)
Alex's abilities in Life is Strange: True Colors aren't those of your classic psychic character. Telepathy is often grouped with the number of skills that a character with psychic abilities possesses. Alex certainly displays a form of telepathy in her ability to read strong emotions, see memories linked to them, and in some cases, even inherit those emotions.
While not a traditional portrayal of characters with psychic abilities, Alex's powers are still an interesting take on the power of telepathy, focused on empathy and reading emotions rather than thoughts.

Raz (Psychonauts 1 and Psychonauts 2)
Psychonauts is a cult success acclaimed by critics, despite not selling well after its initial release. Taking place at a summer camp for those gifted with psychic abilities, Whispering Rock Psychic Summer Camp, Raz begins to refine his mind-reading power as well as develop other psychic abilities, such as clairvoyance, telekinesis, and levitation.
Psychonauts also features a variety of characters with psychic abilities outside of the protagonist, Raz, such as Lili Zanotto and Dogen Boole. All of this will help the protagonist on his mission to stop Dr. Loboto and his scheme to remove the campers' brains.

Psycho Mantis (Metal Gear Solid)
Psycho Mantis's psychic abilities create a very interesting and inventive fight in Metal Gear Solid. In the game, his psychic powers can make the player's controller vibrate and even have the ability to read your memory card. He displays a strong understanding of his powerful telepathic abilities, making him a formidable and cunning opponent.
Psycho Mantis creates an interesting character to fight against, as well as an intriguing one in the game's story. His backstory recalls the first mind he ever looked into, which was his father's. He was consumed by hatred and disgust by his father's resentment toward him, since his mother died during childbirth. In a fit of rage, he set the entire village on fire, killing his father in the process.

Daniel Diaz (Life is Strange 2)
The Life is Strange franchise is known for its strong main characters that display a variety of superpowers in each part of the series. Daniel houses the most classic representation of psychic abilities when it comes to his superpower.
He is shown throughout Life is Strange 2 refining and strengthening his telekinetic abilities, going from being able to perform powerful maneuvers only when influenced by strong emotions to being able to levitate and manipulate inanimate and living beings at will. While many players who played Life is Strange 2 found Daniel an annoying deuteragonist, it's hard not to admit that his powers are cool.

Jodie Holmes (Beyond: Two Souls)
Jodie is another unusual portrayal of characters with psychic abilities in a video game. Usually, these types of psychic powers come directly from the character using them. For Jodie, that's not the case. While she can control the psychic entity that is tied to her, Aiden, somewhat, these psychic abilities aren't hers.
That said, she's able to perform several psychic abilities in the game with Aiden's help. Such as moving objects, possessing other humans, reading the souls of the recently deceased, and healing Jodie.
