Invincible: 6 Comic Book Characters That May Appear in Season Two

Another likely character from Invincible's 2nd season is the introduction of Bulletproof. Zandale Randolph is a superhero from the comics who gains his powers through experiments conducted by his twin brother. He's widely known as Bulletproof and could be introduced in the second season as a new member of the Guardians of the Globe. Invincible's first season already featured Bulletproof's suit, as it was the first one Mark tried on, so his introduction could have paid off that scene. Beyond working with the Guardians, there's a moment when Mark can't manage to suit up and be a superhero, so Zandale abandons the Bulletproof suit and replaces Mark as Invincible. 4 - Brit

Viewers could see an Image Comics crossover if Brit appears as a new character in Invincible's second season. While Invincible and The Walking Dead are the titles Kirkman is best known for at Image Comics, he's expanded the Image Universe through several other superhero comics that have connected to Invincible's storyline. Brit is an nearly invulnerable super soldier, making him even stronger than someone like Captain America. There have been many crossovers between Brit and Invincible in the comics, so Invincible 2 featuring him could be a sign of the greater threats Mark will face. 3 - Lucan, The Viltrumite

Omni-Man's storyline in Invincible's second season could also be used to introduce new Viltrumites, including Lucan. He's a powerful member of the Viltrumite Empire who follows Omni-Man to Thrax. The result is an epic battle between Lucan and Omni-Man that ranks among the bloodiest fights in the comics. Unless Invincible decides to replace Lucan with an older Viltrumite member like Conquest, he should be introduced as Omni-Man paying the price for abandoning his place on Earth. Since Lucan also plays a role in other storylines, his debut here would help set up part of the show's future and other characters in Invincible's second season. 2 - Dinosaurus

The appearance of Dinosaurus in Invincible's second season could bring the beginning of the villain's story to the screen. A human known as David Anders can transform into a Tyrannosaurus Rex and plays a pivotal role in Mark's journey in the comics. Even if it happens a bit later than Invincible 2's story would have covered, Kirkman could have reworked some elements to bring the dinosaurs into the scene earlier. This would allow Mark to encounter a villain he thinks he's managed to defeat and subdue, only for the dinosaur to return in season three and play a much larger role in the threat to humanity. 1 - Thragg

It's also possible that Thragg appears as a character in Invincible's 2nd season to set him up for a larger role in season 3. Thragg is the Grand Regent of the Viltrumite Empire, taking the position after the original Viltrumite War. Under his leadership, the empire grew and became one of the most powerful in the galaxy until its population was decimated by the Scourge virus. While Thragg is a central character in the comics, the best way for him to become a character in Invincible's 2nd season is as a supporting presence, making him the main villain of season 3.
