Kevin Smith recently returned to the world of his black and white directorial debut, Clerks, with the highly anticipated trilogy closer, Clerks III.
While Clerks III is in color rather than black and white, Dante and Randal's "film within a film" is shot in black and white, so the movie alternates between the two formats. The previous Clerks film, Clerks II, also cuts between color and black and white.

Schindler's List (1993)
Steven Spielberg's Schindler's List is one of the definitive cinematic portrayals of the horrors of the Holocaust.
Most of the film is shot in black and white, but it opens and closes in color. It begins with a pair of hands lighting a candle for the Sabbath and ends with many of the surviving Schindlerjuden and the actors who portrayed them placing stones on Schindler's grave.
