Updates on the animated series adaptation of the Cuphead game were released today (20). One of them was the reveal of a new promotional image for The Cuphead Show, the official name already revealed by Netflix. The image was shared by the Annecy International Animated Film Festival and highlights a comedic scene with the two brothers.

From the image result, we can see that the main characteristics of the characters have been preserved. However, a slight change is noticeable compared to the game. It is worth remembering that Studio MDHR, the game's creator, had already stated the difficulty of making the animation identical to the game's visual, which would result in a much longer production time.
More Information About the Series
Additionally, the festival previewed some more information about the animation. According to the note, The Cuphead Show will have a first season with a total of 11 episodes, each about 10 minutes long. The episodes will focus on humor and will be rated for the whole family, meaning no violence or sexual content in the plot. The Annecy International Animated Film Festival, which will take place between June 15 and 30, promises to bring much more information about the series (perhaps a first teaser or trailer?).
The original title, initially released for Xbox One and PC, and later for Nintendo Switch, is known for referencing classic 1930s animations, a style popularized by Disney, and for having extremely difficult gameplay. The game became a hit for being extremely faithful to the animations, as well as featuring challenging gameplay.
With Dave Wasson (Mickey Mouse Shorts) and Cosmo Segurson (Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling) as co-executive producers, the animated series also features production by Chad and Jared Moldenhauer, the franchise creators.
Finally, Netflix has not yet revealed when the series will arrive on the platform, which may only happen in 2021. We await future announcements.
