Daiku no Hatō | Michiteru Kusaba launches manga about fishing club

The first chapter of Daiku no Hatō (The Nine Waves), the new series by mangaka Michiteru Kusaba, was published in the Shounen Sunday magazine by Shogakukan publisher. This work has a completely different focus from his previous creation Fantasista Stella, which depicted soccer.

The story revolves around Minato Ebihara, a modern high school boy from the city, who leaves Isahaya in Nagasaki because of his father's death anniversary. Where a casual encounter with a girl by the sea changes his entire destiny. The story of youth and romance unfolds against the backdrop of the university's scientific fishing club.
