PlayStation 5 | DualSense “X” Button to Be the Global Confirm Standard

Sony delivered a surprising announcement this Monday (10/05). According to an official statement, the company decided to standardize the commands of the brand-new DualSense, the new PlayStation 5 controller. Thus, the confirm and cancel commands will follow a global configuration, with “X” to confirm and “O” to cancel.

It is worth remembering that in the Asian market, the DualShock has always had the opposite configuration from the West. Therefore, the new format may be received with strangeness by that segment of the audience.

 

 

Finally, the PlayStation 5 will launch on November 12 in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea. In other countries, the console will be available starting November 19. Both PS5 versions have had their prices revealed, costing US$ 499.99 (disc drive model) and US$ 399.99 (disc-less model). In Brazil, prices range from R$ 4,499.00 (disc-less) to R$ 4,999.00 (with disc drive).
