With a total of 782 cards, Jumpstart: Historic Horizons will arrive on MTG Arena with several new features. The first is the selection of exclusive and original cards. There will be 31 new cards that will only exist in the digital format. Additionally, the collection will introduce a completely new mechanic that will only be possible digitally. This mechanic will enable choice conditions that would not function properly in the physical card game format.
To excite fans even more, Wizards of the Coast has already released spoilers for 8 cards from the collection (with more to be revealed on the official site). One of them is the planeswalker card Davriel, Soul Broker, which uses the new mechanic with the Perpetually ability, opening choice options for the player during battle.
The new mechanic that only works digitally
First of all, Jumpstart: Historic Horizons will introduce three exclusive abilities for Magic: The Gathering Arena: Seek, Perpetually, and Conjure. Each opens choice options among offers and conditions, with eight each.
However, it is worth remembering that these abilities will only work in the Historic format, which is an exclusive mode of the game's digital version.
