Final Fantasy XVI Confirmed as a PlayStation 5 Exclusive

Announced during the latest PlayStation 5 event, the game Final Fantasy XVI recently had its exclusivity confirmed. This information was released by the brand's official magazine, which already lists it as one of the most anticipated exclusives for the new platform.

However, there are many rumors that this exclusivity will be temporary, possibly lasting between 1 or 2 years. Previously, there was information that the game would also be released for PC, but this was denied by Square Enix itself.

 

 

With a more medieval approach, Final Fantasy XVI brings some familiar elements from the franchise, such as Chocobos and Summons. We can even see the new look of Shiva in the first official trailer. The story will follow a brave knight who swore to protect young Joshua, a boy gifted with a healing power through flames.

 

Finally, the production remains in the hands of Naoki Yoshida (Final Fantasy XIV and Dragon Quest X), with its release scheduled for 2021. So far, there is no further information about the plot, which is expected to take place in a different period than previous games.
