The seriesUnder Fire may not have been Netflix's most impressive release in August, but it's been catching the attention of people who watch it, questioning whether there will be a second season soon or not.
Winning over audiences gradually, the series reached the Top 10 in Brazil as one of the most watched. Also known as Under Fire, the series was directed by Joost Wynant, and in total contains ten episodes, each lasting 40-50 minutes.

More About the Series Under Fire
Unlike what many fans imagine, Under Fire is not an original Netflix production. The series aired in Europe in September 2021, on broadcaster Eén.
The series takes place at East Bank Station, which we discover from the beginning of the series to be the fire brigade battalion that best serves its country. Unfortunately, the company has a poor public relations image, so a new social media contact is hired to try to change that. Moreover, Patrick – the current lieutenant – is promoted to captain, leaving the position open for rookie Dominique.
It immediately becomes clear that she and Orlando (the second in command) don't share the same values, and right from the start the two clash over the best way to handle different incidents.

To make things even more complicated, there are supporting characters. Although, to be fair, each firefighter has the chance to stand out in the 10 episodes. For example, there's Nina, a brave and determined firefighter who struggles with problems at home. This involves fellow firefighter Steve, who has a drinking problem and hasn't been showing up at work. Such stories, in this way, take a dramatic turn in the middle of the series, and Steve's presence is a constant thorn at East Bank for most of the runtime.
There's also Vincent, who has his own rivalry with Orlando, centered on an assistant exam that Dominique suggests Vincent take. Gio starts out abrupt and arrogant before being confronted with some anguishing choices, while Tom – the new guy at East Bank – has more than a few secrets lurking in his past.

Although the stories told in the series are all fictional, the creative leaders involved in the series wanted to maintain absolute authenticity when portraying all firefighter rescue missions.
A camp with all the equipment was created for training to take place, and the actors themselves could perform the interventions as characters. The team training helped make the series an accurate representation of fire stations in Belgium. This made viewers wonder if the characters are real too.
It's worth noting that the series' story portrays the challenges they face inside each burning building. It shows the details that the audience never gets to see and recognize. Beyond that, the series also shows the emotional impact of every call that firefighters answer in Under Fire.
Furthermore, the series is also a critique of bad practices and bureaucratic decisions that affect and threaten the lives of firefighters, who go into very difficult cases, trying to solve deadly problems whenever called upon.
So far, the series Under Fire has not received a renewal for a second season. But also, Netflix considers evaluating the ratings and engagement of the attraction on digital platforms. It's important to note that the platform typically schedules the order and release of new episodes within a window of at least one year. This is when Netflix doesn't film two seasons simultaneously.
Therefore, it would be safe to say that a new season of Under Fire would premiere at the earliest from August 2023 onwards. Moreover, if it gets a renewal, we could see the firefighters return with more drama.
