In September 2016, a tragic discovery shook the Paraíban and Spanish communities. The bodies of four Paraíbans, including Marcos Nogueira, his wife Janaína Américo and two children ages 1 and 4, were found inside bags at the residence rented by the family in Spanish territory, a month after the terrible murders. The shocking revelation of the deaths occurred when neighbors noticed an unbearable odor emanating from the house.
The family, originally from João Pessoa, had decided to move to Spain in search of employment opportunities, a decision that would later place them at the center of an inexplicable tragedy. In Brazil, it was not uncommon for them to go some time without giving news, which initially prevented loved ones from suspecting the worst.
However, as investigations unfolded, the Spanish Civil Guard identified François Patrick Nogueira Gouveia, nephew of Marcos Nogueira, as the sole suspect in the crime, based on the discovery of his genetic material at the crime scene. This development deepened the mystery surrounding this terrible tragedy even further.
Back in Paraíba, the Civil Police announced the arrest of a second suspect linked to the deaths, an 18-year-old young man named Marvin Henriques Correia. He was implicated after the discovery of messages he exchanged with the accused during the execution of the crimes, in which he allegedly "encouraged" Patrick to murder Marcos and gave guidance on how to hide the bodies. The Public Ministry requested Marvin's preventive detention, shedding light on the complexity and gravity of this case that shocked two nations.

Under the direction of Juan Carlos Arroyo and with executive production by Luz Aldama and Teresa Latorr, the true crime documentary sought to present a comprehensive and detailed view of the events.
The production of Don't Tell Anyone featured a variety of resources, including press footage available during the period of the events and exclusive interviews with key people related to the case.
