The Walking Dead | New clues emerge about Aaron and Jesus's relationship

Romance between the two characters may be about to happen in The Walking Dead
It seems that the seventh episode, Stradivarius, from The Walking Dead's ninth season brought strong evidence that the relationship between Aaron (Ross Marquand) and Jesus (Tom Payne) is developing. The two were shown meeting in secret while Aaron was taking care of Hilltop in Maggie's absence. In fact, their meetings are so Jesus can teach Aaron hand-to-hand combat techniques. Such closeness could definitely spark a romance.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Angela Kang commented on including the romance in the series. Kang emphasizes that she still can't confirm anything about the subject.
"I can't speak about their future. What we believe is true is that here are two people with a lot in common and who certainly share very similar philosophies. They were the respective recruiters for their old communities. So there's a natural affinity between them."

It's worth noting that the relationship between Aaron and Jesus has already been confirmed in the comics, being the current gay relationship in Robert Kirkman's series. In the TV series, current LGBT representation is with the new relationship between Magna (Nadia Hilkes) and Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura), which also exists in the comics.
Fyi, episodes from The Walking Dead's ninth season air on Sundays on AMC in the US. In Brazil, the broadcast happens on cable channel Fox.
