The exact reason for the censorship in this new season of the
anime is still unclear.
Studio Deen, responsible for production, has not yet commented on the matter. Therefore, it's expected that this censorship was only on
TV Tokyo's broadcast, and will be removed when the season arrives on
streaming platforms.
Titled
The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods, the third season of the franchise will feature only 24 episodes. The anime is currently airing only in Japan. On the other hand,
Netflix is expected to release it on its platform in mid-2020, just as it did with the
previous seasons and OVAs.
