With the arrival of The Boys Season 3 on Amazon Prime, the superhero series made a big comeback. In its plot, there are the supers—people with special powers who work as heroes in a company.

But these superheroes aren't as good as everyone thinks. In fact, they make mistakes, they're selfish, and they only care about fame and money.
The series presents superheroes as if they actually existed in our world, so there are no miracles or 100% good people—just the visceral reality.
And speaking of visceral, that's something that appears a lot in The Boys. With the supers using their powers in the cruelest and most creative ways, and the boys being diabolical (as Butcher would say), the series features several bizarre and disgusting scenes.

1 – A-Train's Hit and Run
Early in the series, Hughie's girlfriend is hit by superhero A-Train while he's under the influence of drugs. This scene was shocking because all that was left was her hand, which Hughie was holding.

2 – Translucent's Death
The boys planted a bomb inside the superhero Translucent, and as he tried to escape, Hughie detonated it, causing invisible pieces and blood to fly everywhere.

3 – The Deep's Gills
One of the things superhero The Deep is most ashamed of are his gills, and they get violated by a girl in a pretty disgusting way. This is also discussed in the series itself and causes The Deep to develop a complex about his gills and his body.

4 – Love Sausage
The boys break into a secret Vought prison and accidentally release the patients there. However, those patients had received doses of Compound V and had powers. One of them had the ability to enlarge parts of his body, which he used in a disgusting way to try to strangle Starlight.

5 – Heads Exploding
At the end of Season 2, dozens of heads exploded at a congress as the action of an unknown super.

6 – The Whale
The boys were fleeing from police and the Seven in a boat when The Deep decided to intercept them and called sharks to chase them, plus he put a whale in their path to the coast. But that didn't stop Butcher, who accelerated the boat and punctured the whale, giving everyone on board a shower of blood and guts. According to Butcher's own words, it was simply diabolical.
