In the scene in question, Allie opens her front door on Halloween, and neither she nor the audience expected the obscene level of violence that followed. During this sequence, which lasts about 3 minutes, Art the Clown scalps Allie, tears off one of her arms, and separates the other by the fingers. Then, he drowns her in bleach and salt before positioning her, still alive, waiting for her mother to return. By the end of this scene, the entire interior of the character's house is soaked in blood, in what is possibly one of the most brutal scenes we've ever seen in the film industry.
