Porn Site xHamster Offers to Continue Sense8

  Amid the controversy over whether Sense8 will actually get a proper ending, streaming erotic content platform xHamster has offered to take responsibility for continuing the series. In an open letter—and rather unusual one at that—to Lana and Lilly Wachowski, Alex Hawkins, president of the site, stated:  

"Dear Lana and Lilly, Recently, we read that you're working on a third season of Sense8, despite Netflix having no plans to renew the series. We know it's not conventional, but we want to bring the series back—on xHamster. We're not talking about a parody or anything like that, but a revival of the series. Since we heard about the cancellation, we've been thinking about whether we could do something. While we're happy Netflix decided to give the series a proper ending, before you conclude the story, we want you to consider another option—let xHamster produce the series. Hear us out. Currently, xHamster is one of the most-visited websites on the internet. We have more daily visitors than the New York Times, ESPN, and the Daily Mail. Unlike Netflix, you wouldn't be competing for a portion of a production budget—it would all be yours. We also have the disposition. We know that a series about this kind of diversity is difficult to sell in a mainstream place like Netflix. We don't have those limitations, and we also implicitly understand the interconnection of sexualities beyond boundaries. In short, we are us. xHamster has a long history of fighting for sexual discourse rights and non-normative sexuality. Beyond allowing billions of users to connect with their individual expressions of gender and sexuality, we continue to use our audience to speak out against repressive anti-LGBTQ laws in the United States, while also supporting sexual education in public schools, planned parenthood, and the rights of sex workers. We would like to schedule a meeting and see if we can be part of the future of Sense8. We know we're an unlikely house. However, five years ago, people laughed at the idea that Netflix could produce an original series. We think our time, like yours, has come. Sincerely, Alex Hawkins Vice President of xHamster."

    Sense8 continues to await a promised conclusion from the Wachowski sisters.
