When do the episodes of season 3 of The Others premiere
The new season follows a block release strategy, keeping the audience engaged over several weeks.
Official Release Calendar
The third season has 12 episodes, divided into three main blocks:
- Episodes 1 to 4: released on April 9
- Episodes 5 to 8: arrive on April 16
- Episodes 9 to 12: available on April 23
This strategy allows viewers to follow the story's evolution gradually while keeping the series highlighted within Globoplay's catalog.
Why Release in Blocks?
The hybrid model between binge-watching and weekly release has become increasingly common in streaming. It combines the best of both formats by maintaining audience engagement for longer, stimulating discussions on social media, and preventing excessively fast consumption of the season.
Change of Scenery: From City to Mountains
One of the main highlights of the third season is the radical change in setting. If in previous seasons the plot developed in an urban condominium, now the story moves to an isolated community in the mountains. This change is not just aesthetic but also symbolic.
The new setting allows exploration of closer and more intense relationships between characters, a sense of isolation and vulnerability, and social conflicts in a more restricted environment. Additionally, the surrounding nature contributes to creating an atmosphere of constant tension, where any event can gain unexpected proportions.
Plot of Season 3
The plot of the new season begins shortly after the remarkable events of the previous phase. Cibele, played by Adriana Esteves, and Marcinho, played by Antonio Haddad, attempt to rebuild their lives after escaping with stolen money from Sérgio's casino. Even while fleeing, the protagonists continue to be pursued by Tavares, a figure representing constant danger throughout the season.
When they hide in the mountain community, Cibele and Marcinho believe they have found a safe place. However, they quickly realize that the new environment is also marked by conflicts and internal tensions.
New Characters and Cast Expansion
The third season significantly expands its core of characters, introducing figures that play essential roles in the plot. Key members of the new cast include Lázaro Ramos as Roberto, Mariana Lima as Marta, Pedro Wagner as Geraldo, and Carol Duarte as Patrícia. Other characters such as Domingas, Diego, and Manoel also enter the narrative, expanding the universe of the series.
Cohabitation within the community is marked by distrust, unstable alliances, and latent conflicts.
