Only a few hours left until the premiere of "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power", which will take us directly to the Second Age of J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth.
To build up the general anticipation, the creators of the new production, Patrick McKay and J. D. Payne, introduced to the public their ancestors, called the Harfoots ("harfoots", in the original), who are part of an important people for the unfolding of the series, located in the Southlands.

About The Rings of Power
Viewers will be taken back to an era when great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell into ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the thinnest of threads, and one of the greatest villains ever to come from Tolkien's pen threatened to cover the entire world in darkness.
Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows a cast of characters, with new and familiar faces to audiences, as they face the dreaded resurgence of evil in Middle-earth. From the deepest depths of the Misty Mountains to the majestic forests of the Elven capital of Lindon, from the dazzling kingdom of Númenor to the reaches of the region, these kingdoms and characters will carve legacies that will live long after they are gone.

Moreover, the new Lord of the Rings series will tell how the Rings of Power ended the peace in Middle-earth. Tolkien's story also explores Númenor, the greatest kingdom of men and homeland of Aragorn's ancestors (Viggo Mortensen), from its rise to its fall, and the last alliance between Elves and Humans. The great villain of Middle-earth, Sauron (Sala Baker), will have his origin story told in the new Prime Video series.
Remember that Sauron's ring, known as the Ring of Power or the Master Ring, is the most powerful object in this universe. In addition to granting complete knowledge and power over the other rings, this artifact provides invisibility and extended life to its user. Both in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Hobbit trilogy, anyone who uses the ring is corrupted into evil.

The mighty Elves from the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies will be introduced, still young, in the Prime Video series. Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving make way for Morfydd Clark and Robert Aramayo to play Galadriel and Elrond in the new Middle-earth adventure.
The new series, created by John D. Payne and Patrick McKay, also stars Augustus Prew, Benjamin Walker, Charles Edwards, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Markella Kavenagh, Maxim Baldry and Owain Arthur in the cast. Sophia Nomvete is also confirmed for the production. The actress plays princess Disa, the first Dwarf presented on screen in this universe.
Moreover, just like The Lord of the Rings, the new series was filmed in New Zealand. And, according to the country's own Minister for Economic Development and Tourism, Stuart Nash, the production value of Prime Video was exuberant. The first season received an investment of $465 million (R$2.3 billion, at current exchange rates). In comparison, the initial estimate for filming five seasons foresaw a cost of $500 million (R$2.5 billion).
"The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" had a new preview released last Monday (29th), introducing to the public the Harfoots, an important people for the unfolding of the series' narrative. In the preview, we learn more about the struggle of the southerners, how they built everything from scratch, and do all the hard work. They are portrayed as people more connected to the land and with few material riches, who in the past aligned themselves with "the wrong side" and because of this are closely watched by the Elves.
