The Fairly OddParents recently received news about a live-action reboot. Fairies Cosmo and Wanda are returning, but this time to help teenager Viv Turner. With the godparents helping an older character dealing with coming-of-age issues, it could open up space for more mature jokes.
However, many adult jokes flew under the radar in the original Nickelodeon animated series. Appropriately, many of the jokes come from the adults in Timmy's life. Although Cosmo and Timmy's dad are the primary sources of these jokes, they can come at any moment during the animation. These jokes may have gone unnoticed by the original audience's heads, but now it's easy to understand the innuendos.

"How Old Are You?"
While looking for things in the attic, Timmy steps on a small box and crushes it. Apparently, it was his dad's "little box of dreams." He says it's fine and that his dreams were destroyed a long time ago, but what Timmy asks next makes the scene dark.
Timmy asks "How long ago?" only for his dad to ask "How old are you?", which is a pretty bad thing to say to a child. However, kids watching at the time may not have understood the implication that Timmy's dad's dreams died when his son was born. Now that many of the kids who used to watch have their own children, the joke's meaning is more apparent.

"Plunging The World Into World War I"
The season 5 episode "Hassle In The Castle" features a bizarre reference to world history that's unlikely for small children to understand. The episode involves Timmy exploring Cosmo and Wanda's aquarium. In it, he finds paintings of their previous godchildren that come to life. In it, he meets Maryann, who has a dark history.
Maryann is found in the "Hall of Infamy." It's for a good reason, as Wanda says she "shot Archduke Ferdinand and plunged the world into World War I!" This is a reference to the famous assassination that sparked the famous world conflict. How she did it is never explained, but maybe she used her godparents' magic.

"It Tickles My Cha-Chas!"
This joke comes from the season 9 episode "Anchors Away!" Although The Fairly OddParents is known for declining in quality as the seasons go on, it still managed to sneak in adult jokes. For example, while traveling through the desert, Cosmo wears a skirt. During this, he says several questionable lines.
In the most famous one, he says "Timmy! The breeze tickles my cha-chas!" He makes several other mentions of "cha-chas" throughout the scene, which is probably substituting a part of male anatomy.
It's questionable how much this outrageous joke was approved to be inserted into a show that at the time was watched by children.

"Under The Bed Monthly"
In the episode "Hard Copy,"Cosmo and Wanda are away, so Wanda gives Timmy a magic copier. This allows him to copy everything he sees in his magazine and make it real. Kids don't usually focus on the magazine because the things being read are more exciting. Its title probably won't be questioned in kids' heads.
The magazine is called Under The Bed Monthly. Given that it's full of toy ads, it's likely that kids don't suspect anything about its content. Adults watching know very well what magazines are hidden under the bed.

"I Always Wanted One"
Despite not being very attentive to their son, Mr. and Mrs. Turner have a pretty close relationship and are usually very happy with their marriage. A peek at how happy they are comes in the episode "A Partnership!" The episode begins with the Turners giving each other birthday gifts.
Although Mrs. Turner's gift to Mr. Turner is a nice gift, his gift to her might raise some eyebrows from adults. When she receives a blindfold, she exclaims that she "always wanted one." It's a strange thing to "always want," unless she's using it for certain adult activities. Even some adults might not understand why she's excited.
