YouTuber and host of the channel "EI NERD", one of the references in geek culture throughout Brazil, Peter Jordan recently made an appearance on the MHM Podcast to discuss a topic that captivates film enthusiasts: the best movies of all time in the film industry. In that episode, Jordan sat down and discussed his list of TOP 5 films that marked his life, starting with 5th place going to "District 9", a South African science fiction film, released in 2009 and directed by Neill Blomkamp. According to Jordan, this movie is one of the rare non-dramatic ones that really impressed him. In 4th place, Peter Jordan had great difficulty sharing his favorite film, showing that even for a big movie fan like him, choosing the "best" isn't an easy task. In the end, he mentioned "Interstellar", released in 2014 and directed by Christopher Nolan as his choice. In 3rd place, surprisingly, he had no difficulty, and revealed Steven Spielberg's epic, "Schindler's List" (1993), as his choice. This film, in turn, is one of cinema's greatest successes, grossing $321 million on a budget of $22 million, plus twelve Oscar nominations, from which it won seven, including Best Picture and Best Director. Curiously, the second and first place on Peter Jordan's list were occupied by two films based on works by Stephen King and set in prisons. In second place is the supernatural drama "The Green Mile" (1999), directed by Frank Darabont and nominated for the 2000 Best Picture Oscar. And in 1st place on the list, "The Shawshank Redemption" (1994) was the film that Peter Jordan chose as his all-time favorite feature, citing its success after the VHS release and the lasting impact it had on him.
