Danger in the Dark: Netflix Horror Film is Disturbing
With pregnancy being one of the most delicate and joyful moments in a woman's life, films or series that bring this narrative to their plot, when it comes to horror or suspense, end up offering tension for viewers. Danger in the Dark, which is available on Netflix, brings exactly that feeling. The film premiered in 2016 and is a Spanish production, but with its story told in English.

The plot is a production by directors Miguel Ángel Vivas (La Casa De Papel) and Jaume Balagueró (REC). The story revolves around a simple, but terrifying tale, where we have a woman about to give birth and a mysterious stranger who begins to pursue this expectant mother, as she becomes obsessed with her baby.
Sarah Clark goes through a horrific car accident right at the end of her pregnancy. Consequently, she loses her husband. With everything happening in her life, she's forced to spend Christmas alone, as it's now just her and the baby. However, one calm and lonely night turns into a fight for survival as her house is invaded.
The reason for this invasion is that the stranger, dressed all in black, wants Sarah's baby at any cost, even if it means tearing it from her womb. Sarah won't give up easily and will do everything to get rid of this woman's obsession.
Very important information is that the film has a strong emotional trigger, especially for pregnant women, with a high level of tension. For this reason, it's not recommended that they watch it.
