Despite the story having a final conclusion, many fans ended up feeling frustrated on the internet, claiming that the series deserved to get one last season. Kye-young Chon, the creator of the story, has already admitted that she would like to continue the story, but Netflix confirms that a new season is not in the company's plans. The reason for this would be that 'Love Alarm' is a Korean drama based on a webtoon, a format of Korean comics made available on the internet, which Netflix has already used completely for the adaptation. With that, it's safe to say that fans of the series shouldn't expect a third season. Curiously, despite being an original story, the series' plot is very similar to the 1st episode of the 3rd season of Black Mirror, titled 'Nosedive', also from Netflix.
