Let's recap: End of the 2nd season of “Love Alarm”
In the 2nd season, Jo-jo and Hye-yeong finally get together, while Sun-oh and Yuk-jo decide to give their relationship another chance, although Sun-oh still can't trigger her alarm. Sun-oh and Hye-yeong also manage to reconcile their friendship, despite knowing they'll never be as close as before, and Jo-Jo andSun-oh find the closure they need to move on with their lives.Meanwhile, Duk-Gu gives up his position as the developer of “Love Alarm” and passes the responsibility to his brother, Brian. He then meets with Gul-mi and during their conversation, reveals to her that he is the original developer of the app. From there, it's evident that she now sees him romantically. Finally, the app's killer is identified and caught by the police, solving the season's big mystery.
What can we see in the 3rd season of the series? Who would return from the cast?
Although the storyline of “Love Alarm” in the 2nd season is sufficient for its conclusion to be considered final, there are still many stories that could be told in a possible continuation. If renewed, we could see Netflix exploring the new couples, Jo-jo and Hye-yeong, as well as Sun-oh and Yuk-jo, and the problems and difficulties they face in a relationship.Especially regarding Sun-oh and Yuk-jo, who ended the season together but still face the issue of him not being able to trigger his “Love Alarm” for her. The young woman, of course, tells him it's okay and that he should keep trying, but for how long will this continue? Will Sun-oh manage to overcome his feelings for Jo-jo, who is now in her beloved relationship?Besides that, there's also the potential for Duk-gu and Gul-mi, whose story ended openly at the end of the 2nd season. Will they finally get together, now that she finds him attractive and shows interest in him?In this way, we would expect the return of Kim So-hyun, Jung Ga-ram, Song-Kang, Go Min-si, Kim Si-eun, and Lee Jae-eung in their respective roles. As for a possible premiere date, if production started in 2023, it should arrive between 2024 and 2025.

Will “Love Alarm” be renewed for a 3rd season?
It's been over two years since the release of the 2nd season of “Love Alarm,” and at this point, unfortunately, it's hard to imagine the series returning for a final continuation in the future. Of course, in specific cases, Netflix can take some time to renew its productions, as happened with “Sweet Home” (2020), but those are exceptions. However, taking into account especially the way the series was concluded by Netflix, its ending can be said to be a finished story, and production stops there.
