Recall Guilherme de Pádua's Story
Guilherme de Pádua Thomaz was a Brazilian actor and pastor. He became nationally known for brutally murdering actress Daniella Perez, his castmate and romantic partner in the telenovela De Corpo e Alma. Daniella was the daughter of Gloria Perez, author of the telenovela.
The crime occurred in December 1992, when Guilherme de Pádua, with the help of his then-wife Paula Nogueira Thomaz (currently Paula Nogueira Peixoto), murdered Daniella using a sharp instrument (scissors according to Pádua, a dagger according to the autopsy author).
Born in Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais, years later Guilherme left the city and moved to Rio de Janeiro in order to pursue an acting career.
As an actor, he appeared in the 1989 German film Via Appia as the street hustler José; made a small appearance in the telenovela Mico Preto, playing Narciso in 1990, and in 1992 he acted in the telenovela De Corpo e Alma as the bus driver Bira, both from TV Globo.
