The actor started his career while still very young, in The Blacklist, where he played Finn in the episode: "The Kenyon Family" in 2015. However, the following year everything changed for Gaten Matarazzo when he joined the cast of Stranger Things.
Playing Dustin since 2016, Gaten has been gaining more and more space in the media. As one of the main characters in one of the most successful series of the present day, Gaten Matarazzo's name is discussed in various places and on different topics.
The young actor debuted in the most popular series of recent times in 2016, alongside its launch and since then, he has been part of the main cast. Since his debut in the series, Gaten plays Dustin Henderson, a young nerd who has a great and strong friendship with Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Will (Noah Schnapp). Besides of course developing his friendship over the episodes with Max (Sadie Sink) and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).
But of all of Dustin's friendships in Stranger Things, the ones that please fans the most are with Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) and more recently with Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn).
Including one of the saddest moments experienced by Gaten's character in Stranger Things was in the last episode of the fourth season, where he had to say goodbye to Eddie, because his great friend and D&D companion had sacrificed himself for the greater good.
A short time before going on a terrifying mission, Eddie told Dustin that he loved him, and in his last breaths, asked the young man to take care of his friends.
Indeed, this was one of the most emotional moments not only for fans of the series, but also for the actor, who confessed to being truly moved while filming this scene.

Understand the theory involving the artists' last name
Recently a theory went viral on TikTok that Gaten would be the son of Heather Matarazzo. The American actress was very successful with films like "The Princess Diaries" (2001 and 2002), "Scream 3" (2000), "The Devil's Advocate" (1997) and "The Hostel" (2005).
Despite having the same last name, Gaten is not Heather's son. The actress even replied on Tiktok about this theory and joked:
"I think he (Gaten Matarazzo) is brilliant and wonderful. But I can't claim him as my son... because he's not. I have children, they're all furry babies".
Even though the fans' theory made some sense, given that both share the same last name, the truth is that they have no family connection whatsoever.
