Daario Naharis, the commander of the Second Sons, was notably absent in the last two seasons of Game of Thrones, and his fate was never revealed by the show.
Despite not giving viewers a definitive ending about Daario, there were clues suggesting his fate. Daario was first introduced in the third season of Game of Thrones as a lieutenant of the Second Sons. Daario refused to obey his superiors when they demanded that Daenerys be executed. The lieutenant killed Mero and Prendahl na Ghezn to take over the Second Sons and pledge his loyalty to Daenerys, helping her conquer a series of cities.

Not only was he Daenerys' main enforcer, but Daario eventually became her lover as well.
The end of season 6 would be Daario's last appearance in the series. As far as viewers know, Daario and his men stayed in Meereen at their queen's request during the fight for the Iron Throne.

Daario didn't help Daenerys conquer Westeros in Game of Thrones
In the end, Daario Naharis was left to oversee the newly established relations in Meereen, rather than help conquer Westeros for House Targaryen. Daenerys made it clear that Daario would be a distraction and that his excessively heroic actions probably sealed his fate.
She believed he would have a more effective role if he remained in Dragon's Bay as a peacekeeper. Daario was clearly still in love with Daenerys, and her death would have devastated the commander.
It would be likely that Daario remained in Essos for the rest of his days to fulfill his former lover's last request. It's possible that Drogon brought Daenerys' body back to Meereen as her final resting place, which means Daario may have at least confirmed what happened to his liege and lover.
The future of Daario Naharis may be in one of the upcoming Game of Thrones spin-offs, some of which take place after the events of the original series. This includes the sequel focused on Jon Snow, the spin-off based on Flea Bottom in King's Landing, and the animated stories and folklore of Westeros.
