Actress Natalia Dyer spoke about what would be the ideal ending for the love triangle that her character Nancy is experiencing in Stranger Things.

Love Triangle
Technically we can't really call the trio a "love triangle," since Nancy isn't actually involved physically with Steve (played by Joe Keery) and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton). Nancy's heart is torn between the two guys (who hasn't been there, right?).
While maintaining her long-distance relationship with Jonathan, the new events of the fourth season brought her and Steve closer together again, reigniting a flame that actually never went out.
Nancy is now focused on saving the world, but in the meantime, she needs to deal with her internal emotional conflicts.

A Choice of Millions
Natalia says she feels Nancy needs time to understand what's happening with her feelings. She also said that even if Nancy is in an almost dead-end situation, she hopes the character can make the right choice with maturity.
Dyer also spoke about Nancy and Steve's recent closeness. Season four shows that the two still have mutual feelings, regardless of whether they're together or apart as a couple.
It's clear to viewers of the series that the two still love each other, and there's no arguing with the facts. But who should be the right choice for Nancy?
Nancy was extremely shaken by Steve's romantic advances, and for good reason. The guy shows himself to be increasingly mature and responsible, and demonstrates to Nancy that he wants her in his future.
It's definitely a very difficult decision that Nancy will need to make, since she's in a long-distance relationship with Jonathan, while trying to save the world with Steve and also trying to deal with her own feelings.
Even though it's not up to her to make this decision, actress Natalia Dyer opened up in an interview with Variety about what she thinks is the best choice for Nancy.
"It's very difficult. I don't know. It seems like she's been in a relationship for some time, so maybe she needs some time for self-discovery. It's a bit complicated. Whatever happens, I hope she does it with integrity. I just think she's stronger now. I think she's more confident in herself. So, whatever she decides to do, she'll do it for the right reasons… What this season touches on is the fact that these two people care about each other and that hasn't gone away. What is that and what label do you want to put on it, I don't know, but we see these characters finding each other again after growing up and living life with it... doing that they still care about each other."
