The smartphone game, Sengoku Night Blood, will get an anime series. The announcement had been made during AnimeJapan 2017, but only now was the first trailer for the animation released. Check it out below:

The anime is produced through a partnership between Marvelous (the game's producer), Kadokawa, and Idea Factory. The animation is being made by Typhoon Graphics studio (Room Mate and One Room), with direction by Katsuya Kikuchi (Idol Memories and The Royal Tutor), screenplay by Yuuko Kakihara (Digimon Adventure tri. and Orange), and character design by the trio Sei Komatsubara, Rena Okuyama, and Chisato Nakata.An interesting detail is that the original character designs were made by different illustrators (all from the Otomate production company), according to each character's clan:
Oda Clan - Usada Kagero (Wand of Fortune)
Toyotomi Clan - Mai Hanamura (Desert Kingdom and Amnesia)
Uesugi Clan - Shikisakigumi (Hakuōki)
Takeda Clan - Miko (Code: Realize and Petit Four)
Sanada Clan - Kuroyuki (Black Wolves Saga and Period: Cube)
Date Clan - Teita (Iza, Shutsujin! Koi Ikusa and Norn9)

The story of Sengoku Night Blood narrates the conflicts between 6 clans during the Sengoku period, involving vampires and werewolves. The game, launched by Marvelous and Otomate in May this year, operates on the Otome Game system, a genre aimed at female audiences where the main character gets involved with attractive men throughout the story.In addition to the trailer, the Sengoku Night Blood anime had its release date announced. The series will premiere on October 3rd of this year on Japanese channels Tokyo MX, Sun TV, TV Aichi, and BS11.
