The plot follows the main character, Samy Diakhaté, a young resident of a suburb in Paris, France, who is a talented amateur climber dreaming of climbing Mount Everest, the tallest mountain in the world. However, the locals look down on him due to his seemingly disorganized life and lack of ambition. Determined to prove he can achieve his dream and impress his girlfriend, Nadia, Samy decides to embark on an epic and unexpected journey. He decides to climb Mount Everest without prior climbing experience and without the necessary financial resources to do so.
