Netflix recently released the official trailer for Invisible City, a police series that addresses important themes such as environmental preservation, the rescue of Brazilian popular culture, and explores human relationships through the mystical. Created by Carlos Saldanha, and directed by Luis Carone and Julia Jordão, the series uses elements of Brazilian folklore to give the plot an air of fantasy and mystery.
With seven episodes, the story follows the efforts of an environmental inspector (Marco Pigossi) to uncover the real reasons behind his wife's death – which seem directly linked to the appearance of the pink river dolphin on the beach. Racing against time to save his family, he encounters mythological beings from Brazilian folklore during the investigation.
Starring Marco Pigossi and Alessandra Negrini, the production also features Jéssica Córes, Fábio Lago, Wesley Guimarães, and Manu Diegues in the cast. The series is produced by Beto Gauss and Francesco Civita (Prodigo Films), with Caito Ortiz (Prodigo Films), Maresa Pullman (BottleCap Productions), and Marco Anton (Boipeba Filmes) also credited as executive producers.
Finally, Invisible City is set to premiere on February 5th on the Netflix catalog.
